This release brings major updates across the web platform, including Rust-based XML parsing to prevent memory corruption bugs, single-axis scroll container options in CSS, and TC39 proposals like Iterator Join.     As a warm-up for The WebMCP Challenge, I added WebMCP support to my LED grid controller, and you can now ask AI agent to change the emoji rendered on the LED grid in my office (be nice, that shows up in my video calls). You can try "Show a thumbs up on the LED grid", but you can also be creative, like telling the agent about your mood and asking the agent to pick and emoji that reflects it.     Apparently, not even a typhoon could keep me away from Shanghai for Google I/O Connect China 🙈 While there were so many flight delays and cancellations getting into Shanghai because of the weather issues and typhoon Dolphin, I was surprised my flight still went ahead (especially as the turbulence had me holding on for dear life). I loved meeting developers and builders from across the region and sharing what we're up to in Chrome. I spent most of the event at the HTML-in-Canvas booth, which had pretty epic demos of the amazing things you can do with the canvas API and how this latest update is an incredible improvement for accessibility. It was especially cool to share the creative demos and libraries people have already built using HTML-in-Canvas. In between chats with developers, I ran off to run a workshop helping developers get started with Modern Web Guidance. It was a popular session, the room was so full we had lots of people standing and watching from the back! I walked through how you can: ✅ install it with any agent ✅ pair it with Chrome DevTools for agents to find and fix performance issues ✅ audit a site for outdated code against a Baseline target ✅ build new features that make a site feel a little more delightful ✨ If I'm being for real, the best part was the food wheweee 🤤😪😪 so good! Introducing WebMCP support in the ChatGPT desktop app’s built-in browser. Your website exposes the tools; ChatGPT discovers and uses them directly on the live page. Your site controls which actions are available while people and ChatGPT work together. Build a new web app or ChatGPT Site, or add WebMCP to an existing site. By declaring the @subgroup_size attribute, you can guarantee execution at specific power-of-two sizes — ideal for tuning complex AI workloads across platforms. This release also updates setImmediates validation to throw OperationError and adds experimental Dawn updates like the snorm10-10-10-2 vertex format.
