The more a business runs on trust, the harder it is to know where AI fits in best. Amirah Raveneau-Bey and Hays Waldrop have spent their careers building that kind of trust, from seemingly opposite ends of the business world. Amirah Raveneau-Bey has spent 25 years scaling revenue at places like Zillow, Trulia and Opendoor, taking companies from early traction to IPO. She now runs GrowScaleDevelop.com, coaching founders and leadership teams, many of them building in tech and #AI, with a goal of developing 1,000 great leaders over the next decade. Hays Waldrop has spent over 20 years building The Institute of Healthcare Executives and Suppliers, (IHES) into a private network connecting more than 6,500 executives across hospital, pharmacy and supply chain leadership. As founder and CEO, his business has always come down to getting the right people into the same room, which isn't something a tool can do for him. 💬 So we’re sitting down with different business owners, but asking the same question: how do you bring AI into the way you work without losing the part of it that only a person can do? Part talk show, part game show (yes, really), part therapy session. We'll try to keep it to 30 minutes, though we do love to yap. Catch it live on LinkedIn and YouTube. Exclusive recap on Calendly’s Substack, Many Hats: https://lnkd.in/gY49-Rgh Always a different story. Always the same question: how do you work?

You didn't start your business to become a database administrator. But that's a big part of the job. Every client has a history, what they need, when you last talked, what you promised to follow up on and most people are keeping it in their head or scattered across five different places. But did you know? Calendly already has a place to manage all of that. Import tools to get started quickly. Notes to track ad hoc insights and takeaways (and get reminded when it’s time to follow-up). Custom fields for whatever actually matters to your business. Now? Login and see what you could be leveraging in Calendly to move your business forward.

Three girls. One croissant. 🥐 Jayde I. Powell, Lia Haberman, and I had a time at Cannes, and well...as the French say: "times flies when you're having fun," but like, in French. Calendly helped us manage the work happening outside of Cannes and they have a lot coming down the pipeline. Be sure to follow Calendly for some big news in the coming weeks! #CalendlyPartner

Saying no is a strategy. Jayde I. Powell has a two-question filter she runs every opportunity through before she says yes. The first one is pretty straightforward. The second one could change how you make decisions. And if you missed Jayde on How I Work, watch it here: https://lnkd.in/gSZ6jktZ

With an event like Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, you want to be present given the investment it takes to attend...in terms of money, time and energy. We are here to help others wearing many hats like Lia protect what matters most (their time) to be present while also taking care of the work that's still happening in the background.
Don't let the location fool you. This week's newsletter is PACKED with the most useful insights I sourced while in Cannes — including an interview with Instagram's VP of Product and an informative session with TikTok's product team. Note: newsletter is publishing a few hours early this week because... They're shutting down the Speakers Lounge (with access to WiFi and AC) And I'm headed to a French beach club with Lina Renzina after a brutal work week. ⏰ 1-SECOND SUMMARY 👉🏻 Instagram wants to be the go-to app for anything creators can produce 👉🏻 An exclusive conversation with Instagram’s VP of Product, Tessa Lyons (!) 👉🏻 Meta unveiled new smart glasses, including Meta Glasses by Kylie 👉🏻 TikTok just quietly turned Starbucks employees into paid creators 👉🏻 TikTok partnered with Tinder on a reality dating series, Double Date Island 👉🏻 LinkedIn is launching collab posts for its creators and brands 👉🏻 YouTube Shorts is retiring the “Dislike” button 👉🏻 11 of the most useful ICYMI takeaways from Cannes Lions 👉🏻 18 industry leaders (marketers & creators) share their top takeaways from Cannes Lions #CannesLions2026

You’ve likely heard a lot about the creator economy. Well, Jayde I. Powell lives it every day. She's a social media strategist and creatorpreneur who has built a business on her own terms. In an industry where the rulebook changes sometimes literally by the day, she's written her own. For our second episode of #HowIWorkLive, we're sitting down with Jayde to talk about how she navigates the world of work: what she's learned, what she's let go of and how she continues to build a business that works for her life instead of the other way around. Part talk show, part game show (yes, really), part therapy session. 30 minutes or less…well, we'll try. We love to yap. RSVP to catch it live right here (or to watch on-demand). And if you haven’t subscribed to our Substack, Many Hats, for exclusive recap content...what are you waiting for? https://lnkd.in/eAh9mwnz While we always have a different story, we always ask the same question: how do you work?
