     1984 -
KISS plays Reno, NV, USA, Lawlor Events Center, Lick it Up tour. Vandenberg and Riot open the show.
     1985 - KISS plays Houston, TX, USA, Coliseum, Animalize tour. Queensryche opens the show

January
     1980 -
KISS enters the Record Plant in NYC to begin recording Unmasked. Anton Fig is the drummer but is not given an album credit
     1983 - Kerrang, the UK's top metal magazine, ranks KISS' newest album, Creatures of the Night the fifth best metal album of 1982
     1984 - KISS appears in an article in Hit Parader magazine titled "Unmasked At Last"
     1984 - UK's top metal magazine, Kerrang, ranks Lick it Up the third best metal album of 1983
     1985 - KISS releases the second single from Animalize called Thrills in the Night. It fails to chart
     1986 - Eric appears on the cover of and is interviewed by Rock Scene magazine
February 1
     1983 -
KISS plays Knoxville, TN, USA, Coliseum, Creatures of the Night tour. The Plasmatics open the show. This is the last performance of Shout it out Loud on the Creatures tour
     1984 - KISS plays Berkley, CA, USA, Berkley Community Theatre, Lick It Up tour. Vandenberg and Riot open. The show as a sell-out with 5,773 tickets sold. However, it was moved from the much larger San Francisco Civic Auditorium because of sluggish ticket sales.
     1985 - KISS plays Waco, TX, USA, Waco Convention Center, Animalize tour. Queensryche is the opeing act
     1988 - KISS plays Landover, MD, USA, Capital Center, Crazy Nights tour. Ted Nugent opens
     1989 - Smashes, Thrashes and Hits is certified gold by the RIAA.
     1989 - Smashes, Thrashes and Hits is certified platinum by the RIAA.

February 2
     1983 -
KISS made an in-store appearance at the Specs Music store in Palm Beach Lakes Mall
     1984 - KISS plays Bakersfield, CA, USA, Convention Center, Lick It Up tour. Vandenberg and Riot open.
     1986 - KISS plays Tucson, AZ, USA, McKale Memorial Center, Asylum tour. W.A.S.P. is the opening act. This was the last time Eric sang Young and Wasted

February 3
     1983 -
KISS plays West Palm Beach, FL, USA, West Palm Beach Auditorium, Creatures of the Night tour. Plasmatics open the show
     1984 - KISS plays San Bernardino, CA, USA, Orange Pavilion, Lick It Up tour. Vandenberg and Riot open.
     1985 - KISS plays Odessa, TX, USA, Ector County Coliseum, Animalize tour. Queensryche opens
     1987 - Peter sells his share of KISS to Gene and Paul. They now own the trademark and all rights to all the makeup, personas and characters of KISS
     1988 - KISS plays Greenville, SC, USA, Memorial Auditorium, Crazy Nights tour. Ted Nugent is the opening act

February 4
     1983 -
KISS plays Lakeland, FL, USA, Civic Center, Creatures of the Night tour. The Plasmatics open the show. The rear stage curtain caught fire during the show
     1984 - The USA music industry magazine Billboard prints a full page to support the Lick It Up album
     1985 - KISS plays Amarillo, TX, USA, Amarillo Civic Center, Animalize tour. Queensryche opens the show
     1986 - KISS plays San Francisco, CA, USA, Cow Palace, Asylum tour. The opening act is W.A.S.P.

February 5
     1982 -
In the UK, PhonoGram places an order for A World Without Heroes to be pressed as a single. 10,000 copies are for a picture disc and another 7,500 are pressed with a picture sleeve but on black vinyl
     1984 - KISS plays Sault Lake City, Utah, USA t the Salt Palace. Lick it Up tour. Vandenberg and Riot open.
     1985 - KISS plays El Paso, TX, USA, Special Events Center, Animalize tour. queensryche is the opeing act
     1986 - KISS plays Sacramento, CA, USA, Memorial Auditorium, Asylum tour. W.A.S.P. opens
     1988 - KISS plays Greensboro, NC, USA, Greensboro Coliseum, Crazy Nights tour. Ted Nugent opens the show

February 6
     1984 -
Eric and KISS appear on Rockline, a USA syndicated radio show
     1985 - KISS plays Phoenix, AZ, USA, Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Animalize tour. Queensryche opens
     1988 - KISS plays Fayetteville, NC, USA, Cumberland County Civic Arena, Crazy Nights tour. Ted Nugent is the opening act
