Updated ET

Another Chinese firm targeted by short-sellers is getting bought out, this time by a Shanghai government-owned investment manager.

Less than nine months after going public on the Nasdaq stock exchange, semiconductor maker Montage Technology Group Ltd. accepted a $693 million buyout offer by Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Investment Co. The deal, which has been approved by Montage's board, awaits shareholder approval, according to a company press release Wednesday.
