Jay Parikh is a seasoned executive, board member, and advisor to some of the world’s fastest-growing and most successful consumer, developer, and enterprise technology companies. In October 2024, he joined Microsoft’s Senior Leadership Team as Executive Vice President of CoreAI, bringing deep expertise in engineering, product, and infrastructure to support CoreAI’s mission: empower every developer to shape the future with AI. Beyond technology, Jay is committed to building talent, fostering culture, and accelerating customer value.

Jay’s diverse background blends technical leadership with team-building, giving him a unique approach to scaling some of the world’s most iconic companies. As Vice President and Global Head of Engineering and Infrastructure at Facebook from 2009 to 2021, he led global teams that designed, developed, and operated the infrastructure powering Facebook’s products, supporting its growth from 300 million to more than 3 billion users.

At other points in his career, Jay has held leadership roles at Lacework, Ning, Akamai Technologies, and NetGravity. Known for his inventive spirit, Jay holds more than 20 U.S. patents.

Kyle is Chief Operating Officer & Chief Marketing Officer at GitHub, leading teams responsible for culture, developer outreach, operations, and communications. Joining GitHub in 2013, Kyle built and scaled GitHub's ecosystem engineering teams and worked on the acquisitions of Semmle, pm, and others. Eleven years (and many ships) later, Kyle is just as committed to driving growth across the business and its people, leading GitHub's own Al adoption strategy across a workforce of 3,000 + talented Hubbers. As a developer himself, Kyle is passionate about bringing software practices to operations and works to preserve and grow the spirit of GitHub as an Al-integrated, developer-first company.

Prior to GitHub, Kyle took on developer-focused challenges as an engineering and product leader in startups, working in FinTech, real estate, and consulting. When he isn't collaborating with Hubbers and customers, he's building home automations with Home Assistant, working with nonprofits to make technology available and accessible to all, gaming (hello Xbox), and traveling with family.

Vladimir Fedorov is GitHub's Chief Technology Officer, bringing decades of experience in engineering leadership and innovation. A passionate advocate for developer productivity, Vlad is leading GitHub’s engineering team to shape the future of developer tools and innovation with a developer-first mindset.

Before joining GitHub, Vlad co-founded UserClouds, a startup specializing in data governance and privacy. He spent 12 years at Facebook, now Meta, as Senior Vice President, leading engineering teams of over 2,000 across Privacy, Ads, and Platform. Earlier in his career, Vlad worked at Microsoft and earned both his BS and MS in Computer Science from Caltech. He currently serves on the board of Codepath.org, an organization dedicated to reprogramming higher education to create the first AI-native generation of engineers, CTOs, and founders.

Vlad lives in the Bay Area and when not working enjoys spending time outside and on the water with his family.

Dave Green is Associate General Counsel at GitHub, leading legal teams responsible for developer policy, commercial and HR legal, product counseling, cybersecurity and privacy. Dave is leading his teams as they implement AI, building a frontier legal organization that operates as true innovation partners.

Before joining GitHub in 2021 as Vice President of Legal, Dave spent 14 years at Microsoft and led IP counseling teams while developing global copyright and trade secret strategies for Microsoft's hardware, software, cloud and AI services. His work shaped many of the foundational copyright laws addressing AI model training. Prior to Microsoft, Dave served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Corbis and as Assistant Attorney General for the University of Washington.

Outside of his legal career, Dave has leveraged his creative and business talents across several high profile entertainment projects. He co-developed the New York Times bestselling book series “Max Einstein” with best-selling author James Patterson, and created and co-developed the sci-fi series “Albert” with Marvel and DC Comics veteran writers and artists. He has exec-produced several film projects, including the Cannes Classic documentary “Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans.”

Richard Paik is Chief Financial Officer at GitHub, overseeing the company’s global financial strategy, planning, and operations. With over 20 years at Microsoft, Richard has held a variety of senior roles across Central and Commercial Finance, spending nearly half of his career leading teams internationally in New Zealand, Korea, France, and the US. Richard brings a wealth of experience in driving financial excellence and supporting innovation at scale.

Richard is passionate about enabling GitHub’s mission through strong financial leadership, helping to deliver value to customers and developers as AI continues to transform how software is built. As CFO, he is focused on supporting GitHub’s growth, empowering teams, and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of developer-first innovation.

A Seattle native, Richard is joined by his wife Jamie and their two children. Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with family and exploring the outdoors.

Mario Rodriguez is GitHub's Chief Product Officer. He leads the GitHub Product team, which includes Product, Design, and Product Operations. His core identity is being a learner and his passion is creating developer tools—so much so that he has spent the last 20 years living that mission in leadership roles across Microsoft and GitHub. In addition to the product portfolio, Mario oversees GitHub’s AI/Copilot strategy, having previously launched and grown Copilot across thousands of organizations and millions of users.

Outside of GitHub, Mario likes to spend time outside with his wife and two daughters. He also co-chairs and founded a charter school in an effort to progress education in rural regions of the United States.

Microsoft Responsibilities – Stein is GitHub’s Chief Revenue Officer, leading the company’s $3B+ business and overseeing the global revenue organization, including sales, customer success, partnerships, and revenue operations. He joined Microsoft in 2012 and led the Strategics business across the Western United States for a decade. After leaving Microsoft for a 2.5-year tenure at Okta, Stein returned as Corporate Vice President for the Software and Digital Platforms (SDP) industry vertical, a $7B+ business, where he was responsible for directing sales, services, and partner efforts across Microsoft Americas Enterprise.

Pre-Microsoft Work Experience – Between roles at Microsoft, Stein served as Senior Vice President of U.S. Strategic Accounts at Okta.

Education – Earned a Bachelor of Economics, International Business, from Ohio Wesleyan University.

Shweta is Chief People Officer at GitHub, responsible for driving GitHub’s people priorities in partnership with the company’s Executive Leadership Team. She plays a critical role in shaping the employee experience and cultivating a culture of inclusion.

Prior to GitHub, Shweta served as Chief People Officer at Lacework (acquired by Fortinet) and brings a track record of experience across business operations, customer success, strategy, and all things people-related. Before Lacework, she held various leadership roles at Splunk. She earned her MBA from The Wharton School of Business.

Outside of GitHub, Shweta enjoys spending time with her husband and two little kids, exploring new activities and discovering new places with them. She is also passionate about advising companies in the HR tech space, supporting innovative people-focused initiatives, and exploring how new technologies can enhance the future of work.

Alexis Wales is the Chief Information Security Officer of GitHub. She leads a team of security experts focused on safeguarding the GitHub platform, products and the open source community, empowering more than 150 million developers worldwide to build and deploy software securely on GitHub.

Alexis has 20 years of experience defending critical national and private sector networks, spanning positions with the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). This experience sparked her passion for collaboration between the public and private sectors to solve the hardest security challenges that threaten the technology we use every day.

Alexis is a self-described "borderless" leader. She believes that, just as threats and vulnerabilities transcend borders, the most significant security impact is achieved through open dialogue and collaboration to make risk-informed decisions and achieve secure outcomes. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys staying active through yoga and cherishes her “long” walks to the mailbox with her senior pug, Lola.
