The Most Passionate Fans in Sports...............PHILADELPHIA FANS

  The City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is known for having the most passionate die hard fans of any sports town in America.  In a city known for Cheesesteaks, Hoagies, Pretzels and Booing Santa, there can't be any denial of what the Philadelphia sports fan brings to the table.  The years of heartbreak, until the recent Phillies championship, Philly fans have been cursed by the very sight of the statute that defines our city.

  What make a Philadelphia fan a die hard sports fan is the intensity with which they bring and carry to each game.  Every play is life or death in the hearts and mind of a Philadelphia fan.  In this blue collar city, many fans revolve their lives around the 610 WIP or ESPN 950 waiting for any update of every action taking anyway from Eagles Management to the color of the Flyers Jerseys.  We live and breath our teams and we support them throughout the good and bad times because these teams represent who we are as a city.

  Brian Dawkins embodied what a Philadelphia fan is only that he was a Eagle with a die hard intensity and passion for his craft.  Even through his troubles, Allen Iverson was a Philadelphia fan who played as if every game was his last.  Its that blue collar attitude and devotion that make this city a sport gem in my mind.

In conclusion, I think Philadelphia has the greatest fans in the nation.  Many of us are counting down the days to training camp at Lehigh.  Many of us are wondering whether I fightin Phils can repeat for us.  Many of us are waiting for the Flyers to get back on the Ice.  Many of us are ready for the Sixers to pick up any free agent.  We even support the Philadelphia Soul.
