FIFA World Cup 2026™

Visa Waiver Program

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) allows citizens of participating countries to travel to the United States without a visa for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less, when they meet all requirements. The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is an automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States under VWP. Please note that the VWP/ESTA is a program of the Department of Homeland Security.

VWP country nationals should generally apply for their ESTA at least 72 hours before a trip to the United States. But if you’ve never had one before, apply early – especially if you’re planning to travel for the FIFA World Cup 2026™! If your ESTA is denied, you’ll need time to apply for a U.S. visa.
