Nukus ( Karakalpak: Nókis / Нөкис; Kazakh: Нүкіс / Nükıs) is the sixth-largest city in Uzbekistan and the capital of the autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan. The population of Nukus as of January 1, 2024 was 645,700.
