We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Firefighter Brock Whaley from the Shasta-Trinity Unit. Brock started his career May 5, 2018 as a Firefighter I in SHU.

Today was another success at the #WilliamsVMP. @CALFIRE_HUU Copter 102 assisted with firing operations using a helitorch. A helitorch is a firing device effective for igniting prescribed fire over a large area.
Numerous ground and air resources are currently at scene of the #FawnFire which is very visible from Interstate 5 and the Fawndale Rd exit. #CALFIRESHU2021

WONDER INCIDENT UPDATE
Ground resources will remain on the line overnight to continue to construct and improve control lines. The fire is 80 acres of grass, brush, and timber with 5% containment. Fire resources will remain committed over the next several days.
