we are a group of esperanto-enthusiasts who meet to learn esperanto together, and to promote the language. if esperanto interests you, join one of our classes or come to a meeting. it doesn't cost anything, and it's alot of fun!

What is Esperanto?

Esperanto is a designed language which is both more expressive than most languages and massively easier to learn. Because of this, it is an ideal language for people from different places and groups to speak to each other, without the wasteful struggle of learning a culturally loaded national language. In Esperanto, speakers can converse as equals no matter what their native tongue happens to be.

It's also a beautiful language spoken by a truly wordwide following of millions of 'samideanoj' (people of the same idea) who form a friendly and welcoming community. If you speak Esperanto you can travel to almost any nation in the world and stay with other Esperanto speakers though a service called the pasporta servo, or you can stay at home and chat with a diverse, sophisticated, and friendly crowd in esperanto on the internet. Esperanto estas artefarita lingvo, kiu estas samtempe suficxe potenca kaj fleksebla por cxiaj lingvaj esprimoj, kaj facile lernebla. Pro tio, gxi tauxgas por la komunikado inter homoj devenantaj el malsimilaj landoj aux kulturoj, kaj gxi ne postulas la lernadon de ia ajn nacia kulturo.




Gxi estas ankaux belsona lingvo, kiu estas parolata tutmonde da kelkaj milionoj da "samideanoj", kiuj estigas komunumo da geamikoj.
