My xbox live gamertag is "WastedWerewolf". It may seem stupid to have an faq
for one move, but this is the most infamous move in the game that hardly
anyone can pull off.
For those of you trying to unlock the tatami stage, I have some advice on how
to do the Raijin, because I'm sure that's the only thing standing in your way.
First of all, you'll notice the move only consists of directional movements
and the throw button, but that doesn't mean keep one thumb on the stick and
the other on throw. What you want to do is use both sticks, with both thumbs.
The throw button will be controlled by your right pointer finger on the right
trigger. (Assign throw to the right trigger before going to the sparring
stage.)
1st Part: This part can be frustrating because there seems to be a similar
move that looks like you're pulling it off, but you may not be. You can tell
if you did it by noticing the blue flashing message at the top left portion of
the screen. I think it says "combo", but I don't remember. Anyway, most of you
probably know what I'm talking about when I mention the blue thing.
(Or maybe it's green, I forgot.) It's the notifier that it's time to pull of
the next part. Even though I mention above that you want to keep both thumbs
on both sticks, I remember trying this first part in two different ways, and I
can't remember which method I used when I pulled it off. The first method is
simply using one thumb to make the full circle, but for some reason I found it
easier to swirl the stick around correctly by grabbing the stick with the tip
of all five fingers. I'm sure I did this on the left stick with my left hand
since the right trigger is throw.
2nd Part: This and the 3rd part are why you want to use both directional
sticks instead of one. It is much easier to do the first two movements on one
stick and then the next two on the other instead of doing all 4 on one.
I did the left and right movements on the left stick, and the up and down
movements on the right.
3rd Part: Same as the second. I used the left stick for the upper right and
lower left movements, and the right stick for the upper left and lower right
movements.
As for the rhythm, I really couldn't tell you. I just remember going through
all the steps in the move as fast as I could, so it seems there may not be any
moments where you have to hesitate for a split second.
Also, most of you probably already know this, but for those of you who don't,
you can do the moves in the sparring excersises in any order you want, so it
just makes sense to select the raijin first to get it out of the way before
you take the time to do the other moves.
