Illinois (HNV) l� một tổ chức v� vị lợi đặt nền tảng tr�n cơ sở cộng đồng v�
phục vụ người Việt. Sứ mạng ch�nh yếu của Hội l� tạo dựng một cộng
đồng Việt Nam vững mạnh bằng c�ch thiết lập ra c�c chương tr�nh x� hội nhằm
đ�p ứng nhu cầu
của 30.000 người Việt tại Illinois. Trong hơn 2 thập ni�n vừa qua, HNV đ�
thực hiện nhiều
chương tr�nh x� hội v� s�ng kiến nhằm trợ gi�p người tị nạn v� di d�n Việt
ổn định đời sống v�
đ�ng g�p t�ch cực v�o sự thịnh vượng chung của x� hội m� họ sinh sống. |

Mission |

Established in 1976, Vietnamese Association of
Illinois (VAI) is a non-profit, community-based mutual assistance
association (MAA), an agency founded by and for Vietnamese refugees. VAI's
main mission is to foster the development and strength of the Vietnamese
community. To fulfill this mission, VAI has grown into a multi-service
agency that meets the needs of the 30,000
community members living in Illinois. Located in the Uptown neighborhood
where most newly arrived refugees live, VAI
provides free bilingual social services that address the unique needs of
its constituency. For over two decades, VAI has
initiated both innovative and demonstrative
programs to meet the evolving needs of refugees and immigrants in Illinois,
assisting thousands of families in improving
their lives through increased community involvement and a commitment to
self-sufficiency. |

Association of Illinois reflects its Community and Service mission: |

To promote,
support, and develop various cultural, social, and educational programs to
serve the Vietnamese Americans and other ethnic communities in the state of
Illinois. |

encourage the spirit of mutual assistance and active citizenship
participation among Vietnamese Americans. |

To foster and
strengthen the development of various Vietnamese organizations in the state
of Illinois. |

and perpetuate the solidarity of the Vietnamese Americans in the state of
