Top Ten Most Anticipated Comic Book Movies
Although I've been hearing production rumors for years now, I've yet to hear a word on a movie for Neil Gamain's The Sandman.Sandman is my all-time favorite comic and one that, as much as I love it, would not want to be seen made into a movie. For every Batman Begins, we get a Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Doom and Catwoman. Hollywood would simply hand the license off to Uwe Boll and he would turn it into an action crapfest instead of a deep, intricate, thought-provoking story the series is known and loved for. So what are you guys' thoughts? Have you possibly heard any news on this? Thanks. Oh,and great job on the Top 10 list.

Hi, jobe13,
It seems like you have no reason to worry about Hollywood bastardizing your favorite comic. By all accounts, Sandman is trapped in development hell, or worse, dead. The property is controlled by Warner Bros., the studio behind the Batman and Superman franchises but also darker fare such as Watchmen and V for Vendetta. At their official site, Wordplayer.com, screenwriters Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio said that Warners passed on their Sandman draft, as well as on a later rewrite penned by Roger Avary. There has been no real news on Sandman in years.

Hey, I love you guys reviews but are you forgeting The Punisher 2?! I've always liked The Punisher but I think that not enough people give it the credit it deserves. I thought it was a decent movie. Not too much action, but that's how most Marvel movies are for the first edition of the character. I'm hoping you can give me some more info on the next movie and also wanted to know if you know anything about the second game by THQ. Thanks for your time and I look forward to your reply. Peace!!
--Daniel
Hi, Daniel,
While The Punisher 2 is apparently still in development at Lionsgate, there has been no news on the project since last March. At that time, star Thomas Jane said that filming had been delayed and the script was still being written for a possible fall start. As for the second THQ game, you can find further details here.

Hey, thought the list was cool. I have two nice comments. My list would include Sin City 2. Or does that fall under the category of not being in production yet? And as much as I'm looking forward to Transformers, I would have switched numbers with The Dark Knight. Great list, though.
--Keith
Hi, Keith,
Thanks for writing. Sin City 2 came very close to making the final list but, alas, we opted for the big franchise flicks that are currently in the works. There were a number of other highly anticipated comic book movies, such as Captain America and Magneto, that didn't make our Top 10 for various reasons so you're not alone. Sorry that we couldn't include them all.

Snakes on planes are snakes on polanes. But if you put snakes with vaginas on a coconut you get some very awesome rhinestones.

Borgnine,
We think you are really hittin' on something here. This is sure to be the hot fashion trend on the runaways of Paris in the fall... Snakes with vaginas on a coconut ... very awesome rhinestones, indeed, sir! Props to you.
