What You Have All Been Waiting For Is Finally Here!
-I've added the ability to reset a mastery. This reset actually LEAVES the skills under that mastery behind, allowing you to still select these skills via the in game hotkeys. This also lets you choose a new mastery in its place, you can even go as far as adding points to this new mastery, resetting that new mastery, and then going BACK to the old mastery, or picking a different one, letting you essentially multi-master and put skills into more than two masteries. You may need to add available skill points to pick a new mastery, if you reset a mastery you will lose just the points for the mastery itself, so remember the number if you want to stay somewhat legit.
-Added the ability to directly edit the level of a skill you already have. Please note, you can add up to *5* levels higher than the in game max level, basically what a shrine would add. If you put anything higher for a value it automatically drops it to this skill max when you go into the game.
-Fixed the Change CD-Key option not becoming enabled.
Sticky: Titan Quest Modder Interview: Bman654[ Comment ] Print News | Mail News Titan Quest Vault is proud to present the first in a continuing series of community interviews. In these articles, we will probe the minds of the most prolific and interesting members of the Titan Quest modding community.
Our first interview is with TQVault utility creator, bman654. As one of the most heralded programs created thus far for Titan Quest, his interview was a natural one with which to introduce the series. Without further ado, Titan Quest Vault presents, bman654:
1. Introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your TQ Vault tool.
Hello. Thank you for this interview. I'm Brandon (known on the boards as bman654) and am the author of the TQEXP Mod Pak and, more importantly, TQVault. TQVault implements a much-requested shared item vault, making it easy to trade items between your Titan Quest characters in single-player. It also gives you plenty of room to hoard equipment, which is VERY useful if you are trying to collect set items.
This is the first zone of my first modding project "Rise of the Amphibians", which will be a lot bigger than this one. This map contains a village, a forest, two monster camps and a few more. The map also include a quest and a vendor. -Tatsumaki
Piracy & PC Gaming Redux[ Comment ] Print News | Mail News Last week's topic about piracy and its effect on the PC gaming community generated a lot of interesting commentary. This past weekend at the Quake Conference, Id co-owner Kevin Cloud raised the issue again in his comments during a "fire away" Q&A; panel.
"Piracy is hard," Cloud continued, Its really from my opinion, destroying the PC market." Cloud believes there are many good ideas on how to solve the problem, "but when you look out there at the number of games that are getting pirated, it is just devastating."

V1.3.0 released! Download it HERE.

NOTE: If you have a copy of the program that is version 1.1.0 up to 1.2.1 delete it immediately, the waypoint IDs were corrupted by Visual Basic in these versions!
1-Fixed a bug when version detection on startup was turned off, the program would not load the saved game version, this caused the safe code for the Fix Me and Patch Game to activate which simply exits the code before anything happens, this is why some experienced the nothing is happening issue with these.
2-Fixed waypoints not saving correctly; this was NOT a coding bug, but rather when testing the program in asian unicode Visual Basic corrupted the waypoint ID tags by replacing characters in the IDs with asian characters making some work and others not, characters affected by this can be fixed by simply resaving the waypoints, unless you also have the difficulty/gender corruption.
3-The waypoint fix also fixes issues with the difficulties/gender being corrupted, if you have this problem and do NOT have a backup, I can fix the file for you, simply email it to me. I will include an automated fix for this in a future version.
4-Fixed a bug where gold would not load.
5-Fixed issues when a game or character path did not exist, a path not found error occurred.
6-Added a feature for users without administrator privileges to manually create a settings.dat file in the applications directory. YOU have to create this file, if it exists the program will use it to load settings, two of which are currently supported and are used by adding these on separate lines as follows:
[characterpath]=C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest\SaveData
[gamepath]=C:\Games\Titan Quest
The new portfolio system is designed to help users put together a listing of all their favorite files that we host. By using a special search, you can find the files, add them, delete them and arrange them in any order. Portfolios allow you to keep track of any file on the site, whether it's yours or not. This makes it easy to return to content you might not need right away or share it with others. If ever you have any questions, comments or problems, let us know. Here are some of the features: Features
Track any file in one location
Add comments to the files you track as notes for yourself or others
Make portfolios public or private
Have as many portfolios as you like
Add files to portfolio from their file page or via search
How to Use it
Portfolio Section: This section works exactly like all the other sections of the Vault sites. Here's a quick recap:
Updated: View all recently updated portfolios.
Listings: View all the portfolios that are public.
Submit: Create new portfolios
Top Rated: View all the portfolios sorted for highest rated to lowest.
Search: Search portfolios.
Creating Portfolios: First, go to the portfolio cluster on a Vault site to create a portfolio. Once that's done you can now add files to it. If you need to edit or view your portfolios, go to the "manage your submissions" page, where you'll find anything you've added to the site. Adding to your Portfolio: Go to any file page and on the right you will see a link to add it to your portfolio if you want. Click the link. If you have more than one portfolio, it will ask you which one you want to add it to. Choose that and proceed. If you want you can then go back to the file page or manage that portfolio. Managing your Portfolio: Here you'll see the portfolio info, with a search box at the bottom to add and a list of files on the right that belong to this portfolio. You can add some info to each as well as delete it or move them around. There is also an update link on the page to change the main portfolio information. Deleting an entry from your portfolio does not affect anything you've submitted to the site. That's totally separate.
Have Fun! If you have any questions, problems or suggestions, please e-mail us.

Added the ability to change your starting location to any rebirth shrine in the game. This is an in-process feature that has a partial list of rebirth shrines so far, the major one included is Olympus so you can in a sense still teleport there whenever you want to on any difficulty level.
Settings has been moved to a separate form due to control limits per form by Microsoft. You can access the settings via the Main menu-->Settings'.
Updated various descriptions and directions labels as well as messageboxes.
Added a couple placeholders for backing up entire characters (quest and map data) via zip files manually and through the auto-backup feature.
Added a placeholder for changing the executable used to start the game for those who use custom files.
Added a menu placeholder for an option to disable the game intros.
Changed the Level Me Up feature to use a custom experience formula instead of a complete built-in experience table. You shouldnt notice any difference except youll have very little experience into your next level when using the feature.
Fixed a bug with the experience shown when using the Level Me Up in the label as the experience needed for one level lower then what you enter.
Slightly modified how the graphics are loaded, might make a slight difference in loading speed.
Titan Quest is long playing solo the campaign can take easily up to 40 hours to complete. That's a lot of mouse clicking, and if you're already worn out of this style of action-RPG it's doubtful that Titan Quest will re-kindle the fire simply because at its heart it is still a mouse click fest with better trappings. That said, for the rest of us, Titan Quest is an addictive, beautiful, well-designed game that is easily at the top of its genre.
Highs Great art direction, a varied skill system, online co-op and a robust world editor all earn Titan Quest extra gravy points.
Lows Repetitive fighting, a mediocre story, and overkill with regards to item drops and money take some of those gravy points away.
Final Verdict Although it has its flaws, Titan Quest makes for a decent package when you factor in online co-op and the packaged world editor. If those things do not interest you, however, then what you are left with is a good looking game with a great setting and some original monsters that is linear, repetitive, and easy to exploit. And that is the long answer.
Even though the game is an RPG, of which I am a huge fan, I still consider the game quite annoying as it resembles too much Diablo II and Sacred. I know that the game is different by storyline, environments, items, and monsters and about everything, but still, the feeling is the same as in the two titles previously named.
As an ending statement, I could only say that I warmly recommend this game to all lovers of the Sacred or Diablo II series, as it has the same feeling.
