Hello and a warm welcome to the web site of the Ascension Island Government. Ascension Island is located just south of the equator in the South Atlantic Ocean.

Ascension Island is a British Overseas Territory which, together
with St Helena and Tristan da Cunha, forms a single territorial
grouping under the sovereignty of the British Crown. The group of
islands is presided over by a single Governor who is resident on
St Helena. The Governor is represented on Ascension by the Administrator.
