If players have previously purchased time via multi-month billing or time cards that extends their service past the July 31 date, NCsoft will reconcile these accounts appropriately. There will be more announcements coming soon regarding the shut down of Auto Assault and its impact on current accounts. Please check back at www.autoassault.com for more information.
Each Monday, AAVault will be pulling piece of recorded AA history from our vaults. One of the early CG trailers for AA included a little cartoon short much like those seen during intermissions at the Drive-In threatres... but different. :) Check out that 2005 trailer here!
You're familair with the procedure - stand toe to toe with the mob and then click your skill keys in order. When the mob dies, walk up to the next one and repeat the process. Not all MMOGs are like that. :)
Check out this new gameplay video by Thor that gives a bit of a comparison between standard MMOG PvE and Auto Assault's PvE in either the 4Meg Lo-Res version or the super-r33t 82Meg Hi-Res version. :)

Warcry has a series of interviews with the creative minds from the Auto Assault development team, returning to the early pioneering days of Auto Assault.
Once again we have our "Eye on the Enemy" feature, where we bring you a bit of info on some of the nastiest that you're up against out there. This week... 'Mek territory!
I've noticed a few things while taking these screenshots. First of all, screenshots of moving targets is hard! Second, is that the detail and graphics in this game is incredible. The amount of detail in a tiny little thing like the Scav Punk was impressive. It's a miniscule mob that you rarely ever see that close. The guns, the face... it was all rather impressive to see. Then things like the Mudspitter. I can't stand those things, but when you get a decent shot of them, ot almost looks like a painting. They are creatures that actually look like they belong in their environment. Auto Assault really excels in presenting a believable environment, and the atmosphere create really gets me looking forward to doing this feature each week. Enjoy!
Two pages of pictures and info from existing projects to their upcoming cutting edge stuff, brought to you by our very own Jonric!
This space currently holds more than 65 staff, a number that should grow rapidly and substantially as LEGO Universe, the extremely interesting child-oriented persistent state world based on the famed building brick brand, moves forward in development. And that's not all. There are actually two more groups, one working on Auto Assault, the post-apocalyptic vehicular combat online world that launched last year, the other on an intriguing first-person shooter, Warmonger - Operation: Downtown Destruction, that is intended to push the technological envelope. This is most evident in its requiring a dedicated physics card, which certainly narrows the market. If you have one, though, you'll probably receive the title for free.
NCsoft introduces a new column on their PlayNC.com website that will feature members of NCsofts development teams contributing their perspectives on

Soulie's head out, and as his parting gift, he is putting everything he has from across all three factions up on the auction house for vendor prices! That's right, you can get some premuim gear for a tiny fraction of what it normally sells for!
Starting Friday, June 29th, his complete Mutant inventory hits the auction house. On Saturday, he's listing all of his Human and Biomek gear and goodies.
" ...this is one big Garage sale you guys can't miss!" --Soulie
Good luck in your future endeavors, Soulie, and good going on goin' out with a bang!
Zhelavar gets drawn into the INC and Scav battle over the VLA...
Even with a mission as important and dire as ours - to propagate the Way of the Changed - it is still important to take a break now and then if for no other reason then to enjoy the Gift we have been given. Several nights ago, I laid down across the hood of my Cricket to close my eyes and listen to the sounds of the badlands. The profanity of the Pikes and the banging of sheet metal as they rebuilt their makeshift lean-to's, the roar of the buggies and bikes passing through the winding passes below, and the rattle of gunfire as those who challenge the Changed perish for their insolence.
Each Monday, AAVault will be pulling piece of recorded AA history from our vaults. FoB_Clanbank is the star of this week's showcase, as we bring you the screenshots and story of the lowest level character to reach Ground Zero! The event was the result of a bet between Cag/DrGonzo and Wraith.
"Yep HoF_clanbank made it all the way to the inc rest stop with only one death. Damn invisible agent was in the gap between two mobs and I rammed it by accident. darn darn darn. Here are some screenies of my travels.
I was worried I was going to lvl just from the exploration XP you get. I ended up in citadel with half a ring of XP to lvl 3
Also major compliments to wraith. He met me at the entrance to GZ and gave me my pellets as promised. Nice to see an honorable player in the game."
"At the moment, NetDevil is working on two interesting projects. Warmonger, Operation: Downtown Destruction is an FPS, sort of an overgrown tech demo requiring an Ageia PhysX card. The other, about which almost nothing has been revealed, is LEGO Universe, an MMO based on the immensely popular brand of play products. It's targeted for release in 2008, so I'm hoping information will start to flow before much longer, possibly even today."
It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for our "Eye on the Enemy" feature, where we bring you a bit of info on some of the nastiest that you're up against out there. This week, we poked around the Bloodsteel Badlands!
Gamasutra sat down with Brown to discuss a number of issues: development in tandem, the upcoming physics-based shooter, Warmonger (you play the role of a mercenary in an urban war zone), the LEGO MMO, and even the companys moving offices (were all excitedhopefully its a much more creative space.).
But in the end, the new developer-publisher paradigm is something that Brown is concerned with, and still on his mind. I think its milestone-based schedules that create all of the problems, he told Gamasutra. It all comes back to the basics of software development, and perhaps NetDevil has found the answer
Each Monday, AAVault will be spotlighting a different video or image from our collection. For our second showcase item, we have a compilation of content that was submitted for week three of the player-run Dogpile PvP event. Videos by Cheeze and Deathspyte, plus several screenshots by Tank and Vang!
