The Hill Ex-congressman disputes Clinton boasts on medical leave legislation

The former congressman who shepherded the Family and Medical Leave Act through Congress sought Thursday to debunk Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) claim to the legislation, saying she “never had anything to do with it.”

In further evidence that the Democratic primary is straining the party, liberal activist organization MoveOn.org is circulating a petition that attacks a group of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) donors, who had “threatened” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for her stance on superdelegates.

Boehner backs Olson in Texas runoff

Former Senate aide Pete Olson got a big boost this week in his primary runoff with former Rep. Shelley Sekula Gibbs (R-Texas), as House Minority Leader John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) political action committee (PAC) stuffed Olson’s campaign account with $10,000.
