Second installment in EA's unique series that blends strategy with arcade action. The age of Archon is ending. Mighty wars of magic range and monsters roam the elements hungry for power and prey. The doom of Apocalypse shadows all. Like its predecessor, the game is split into a board and battleground stages. On the board, players move units to challenge opponents, then engage in action battles in the battleground stages. There are different battlegrounds for the four elements: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. Players have four adepts on each side that can conjure up to 12 different monsters, including mythological creatures like sirens and gorgons. The game is playable by one or two players.
