So if you want to get wasted this new years and play a video game, no other video game is better played drunk than Samba De Amigo!
Apparently the game is in ‘back order’ right now, but if you place your order they will ship it as soon as they get a new shipment.

Are you ready for some Sonic Shuffle?
Posted by George. Filed under George, North America, Sonic. Tagged with Sonic Shuffle, trademark, Trash.

Sonic Shuffle, the most requested game in Sega history, right? Sega has decided to re-trademarks the name and assuming this will hit the Wii, since most shovelware ends up there.
I can’t wait, I hope its a port of the first one with loading issues intact. Nothing says Sonic Shuffle like a bunch of loading screens.

Yakuza 3 screens reveal new fishing minigame
Posted by George. Filed under George, Japan, Sony PlayStation 3. Tagged with Screenshots, Yakuza 3.

Nothing says Yakuza like fishing with a Hawaiian shirt on and thankfully you will have the ability to do this in Yakuza 3.
Though I find it funny that Kazuma has his fighting face up even when he is fishing. Stupid Kiryu, fishing is suppose to be relaxing!

Sega releases more Mega Drive Ultimate Collection screens
Posted by Graham. Filed under G, Microsoft Xbox 360, News, Retro, Sony PlayStation 3. Tagged with Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection.
As the title suggests, Sega has released a few more screens for the upcoming retro collection, Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (aka Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection in the US).
This batch of screenshots shows off fan favourite (and one of the hardest games I have ever played) Comix Zone and Golden Axe II.
I’m still definitely not a fan of the whole filtering thing, just looking at the Comix Zone images all I could think was; “This effect totally ruins the art style of the game.” But as we all know the filter can be turned off, so I shouldn’t keep complaining about it (though I probably will).
Check out the screens after the break.

Sega has launched the official website for Stormrise. Coming from The Creative Assembly’s Australian division, Stormrise is a RTS designed for specifically for console technology (though also coming to PC) and is said to be the first “true 3D” RTS, making proper use of all dimensions.
The website is not fully furnished just yet, but it boasts plenty of screenshots, game details, videos etc… So if you want more information on the game, be sure to check out the site now.

Sega announces special Arsenal edition of Football Manager 2009
Posted by Graham. Filed under Europe, G, News, PC. Tagged with Football Manager 2009, Special Arsenal Edition, Sports Interactive.

If you are a fan of the Football Manager series and a supporter of Arsenal, then Sega Europe might have just made your Christmas, as they have announced a special edition of Football Manager 2009 featuring Arsenal. I know at least one Sega Nerd member who likes both Football and Arsenal (Yes Aki - looking at you) ;O)
The game will feature the club’s logo, a unique Arsenal skin for the tables/menus and all the player photos.
As this is one specifically for the fans though, this version will be available through the Arsenal website and at the club shops. So don’t expect to find it in any video game retailer.
For full information and screenshots, check after the break.
Why is Valkyria Chronicles selling horribly?
Posted by George. Filed under George, Sony PlayStation 3. Tagged with Bad News, Not Selling, Sales, Valkyria Chronicles.
(Picture not related)
I wanted this game since it was announced for only Japan, we finally get it on US shores and you guys don’t buy it! Why? Its a great stocking stuffer.
The NPD group has released sales figures for November and stated that Valkyria Chronicles sold a disappointing total of 33,000 copies for the whole month. Not only that it didn’t make it to the top 100 games sold for the month. That is right, all those hip “Babyz” game and other Wii titles that end with Z’s outsold it.
Hit the jump to see my list of possible reasons why this game is performing so bad.
The Conduit video preview
Posted by Graham. Filed under G, News, Nintendo Wii, Preview, Video. Tagged with High Voltage Software, The Conduit.
G4TV’s X-Play has been lucky enough to get an exclusive preview of High Voltage Software’s upcoming Wii FPS, The Conduit. The video shows off a lot of gameplay footage, as well as the game’s producer, Josh Morton, explaining elements of the game and the way it is controlled.
The game does seem to be shaping up pretty well, though I’m still not entirely convinced by the visuals. I know the Wii isn’t going to be able to produce Far Cry 2 quality graphics, but the developer has been saying how the new ‘Quantum 3′ engine will be able to produce effects never thought possible on the Wii, but so far I have seen other Wii games do just as well, and some with better graphics.
Still, graphics don’t make a game and the gameplay looks like it could be enjoyable, which is the main thing. Hopefully we will be able to get some hands-on time in the new year with this title.
But if you guys want to play, then don’t forget that Sega will be showing the game off at the New York Comic Con in Feb 2009.
