Scientists Clone Pet Dog

January 30, 2009 - Losing a pet can be devastating, especially when disease claims their lives. The bonds formed between mortals and their animal companions (as we've learned from Fable 2) can last a lifetime, if by lifetime you mean about a dozen years or so. One American couple though decided that they did not want to say goodbye to their cancer stricken pooch, and instead opted to have an exact clone of their Labrador created in a lab (oh the irony) immediately after the original puppy passed away. Service Providers May Join RIAA

January 28, 2009 - Last month, torrent-lovers in the United States celebrated as the Recording Industry Association of America announced that they would be ceasing all further legal action against illegal file sharers. The organization ended their legal siege against file sharers after several years of aggressive litigation, but it would seem that the RIAA's battle against piracy isn't over just yet. When the announcement came last month, the RIAA stated that they would be continuing their efforts against piracy through partnerships with internet service providers. The RIAA said that they would be reaching out to providers to slow or stop service for high-volume filer sharers, but details about which providers would be involved were limited. Now it seems that two of America's largest providers may be teaming up with the RIAA to combat file sharing. More »
