Representative Howard Berman has served the 28th District of California since 1982. He is well known for his bipartisan efforts, working with Republicans on issues such as a bill authorizing embargoes on nations that support terrorism and amendments to the False Claims Act. Berman is a leading advocate of copyright interests and intellectual property in the House. He is also a strong supporter of Israel and is the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. Berman also serves as the vice chair of the Judiciary Committee. Berman resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Janis Gail Berman. They have two daughters, Brinley and Lindsey.
