0Featured: Driving on the edge with Subaru at the Isle of Man 1340899020
Learning The Delicate Balance Between Living Life And Cheating Death "Don't lose the taillamps in front of you." Those were the only words on my mind as our rolling convoy plowed its way over hill and dale on the Isle of Man, up Snaefell Mountain and back down again. Thing is, those taillamps were little more than faint twinkling halos shrouded in ...

Video: Scion explains the FR-S coupe's limited-slip differential 1340312220
There's no shame in not knowing what a limited slip differential is. After all, every budding car guy has a first time trying to parse Brian Beckman's The Physics of Racing. (And many of us still don't understand the entirety of it after multiple perusals.) So if you're trying to wrap your mind around just what this Torsen thing is, there's no excuse for ...

The Scion FR-S/Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ triplets are being recalled due to an issue not with the car, but with the owner's manual: pages detailing the operation of the smart airbags contain a misprint. Although it's classified as a recall, owners don't need to take their cars to their dealers; Scion and Subaru will be sending the nearly 2,800 owners ...

Subaru Legacy that spent 3 months at bottom of Finnish lake starts on first try 1339075800
"Ja, that ice'll hold ya." Until it didn't, and suddenly a man's 1996 Legacy wagon was at the bottom of a shallow lake in Finland. Three months later, the Subaru wagon was dragged from its freshwater slumber, and while most people would just write the car off or at most turn it into a parts donor, curiosity got the better of the rescue squad. Would it ...

Report: Toyota open to new joint ventures after sports car success with Subaru 1338924660
It's pretty safe to say that the Toyota GT 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ joint venture has been quite a success so far. Here at Autoblog, we've had nothing but nice things to say about the Toyobaru coupe, and it's a similar story elsewhere in the automotive press. Toyota has certainly been keeping track of the car's progress, and because of the success of ...

Rumormill: Subaru Tribeca getting the axe? 1337813940
Could it be? Could Subaru finally be killing the Tribeca? We'll admit it. We've been waiting for this day since we first spied the 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca. So has every other too-clever-by-half automotive journalist who slammed Subie's range-topper when it debuted in late 2005, looking like it had been styled by whatever group-think team General Motors ...

Report: Next Subaru WRX previewed by Advanced Tourer concept 1337373900
There was nary a peep of discontent about the looks of the Subaru Advanced Tourer concept revealed at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. But when everyone was clamoring for Scooby to transfer the Advanced Tourer's looks to a production vehicle, never once did people ask for that transfer to be foisted on the WRX. A report in Motor Trend, though, says that's ...
