Of the three I've seen on display in Best Buy so far two have had defective screens where they were detecting a constant touch(without being touched of course) on the far right (in landscape mode) that would essentially cause any user interaction to register as a pinch gesture. It made the tablet useless as you couldn't tap anything. At random times it would work for about 10 seconds max. I almost bought one but decided it's too much a risk for just this problem. I think the problem is that...

Photo quality through integrated camera cover glass?
details
http://notesofgenius.com/media/2012/10/LG-Nexus-4-Camera.jpg
Although the iPhone 4 was the first mainstream smartphone to have a full glass back, the Nexus 4 seems to be the first phone to have the entire back cover also act as the camera cover glass. Theoretically, Gorilla Glass 2 would be good for the durability of the camera area but is Gorilla Glass 2 glass of the same optical grade as other cover glass used on smartphone cameras? Although the "cover glass" is not the same as the "lens", I... Read more →

Envy X2 vs Surface for Windows 8 Pro
details
Hey Guys, So I've been waiting patiently for more details to be released about the Surface Pro. And now that it's close to its release date of Mid to late January 2013 I have to ask: Is the Surface Pro worth the wait? I know it's all about what you need it for but I couldn't give up my old windows apps. That's why I didn't go the route of the Surface RT. I want to be able to Load Steam and play some games sometimes... or Anything else that a Windows Laptop can provide. Here's the issue...

21.5-inch iMac (2012) - plus 2 external display
details
I have been wondering how to configure a latest 21.5-inch iMac, with 2 DELL external 21.5-inch displays, using a VESA display stand. I know I will need VESA Mount adapter kit but I don't know what size I will need and where to buy it. Can you please show or direct me how to do complete the whole process? Many thanks!

Where can I rent Rock Band instruments for PS3?
details
My cousin was asking if I knew a place that rented out the instruments for Rock Band. Renting/borrowing the game itself is easy enough, but are there any places that will rent you the guitars and drums for an evening?
(I feel like this is something that video rental stores would/could have done, if so many of them hadn't been driven out of business by Netflix and Gamefly. Guess there is still a purpose to in-store rental...)

contracts - and phones that don't have them
details
I wonder how many customers wait and wait and wait, because they're tight-fisted enough to JustSayNo to buying phones with contracts? While the DNA looks like the "perfect" phone, it pulls your feet out from under you when you consider the actual cost of the phone with a contract. I'll still go for the Nexus and go with prepaid until I start making over 6 figures.

Good news, everyone -- apart from the fact that it's Friday! I'm stoked to finally show you a slick new layout for our product category navigation that we just pushed live.
In addition to the heavily trafficked top ten product categories we had before (like cellphones, tablets, etc.), you can now instantly navigate to any of our 45 categories, now reorganized for even greater clarity.
We've also moved our Must-have Gadgets and Must-have Apps pages into our new unified... Read more →

For years the distinction between digital cameras and phone cameras was this: if you wanted to take high-quality photos with optical zoom and flash and all the other bells and whistles, you got a regular camera. If image quality didn't matter to you and you wanted to be able to share your photos instantly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and so on, you got a camera phone. Unfortunately for camera manufacturers, phone manufacturers have been... Read more →

Difficult customer service....
details
I ordered one of these over 6 months ago and have yet to take delivery.
It was stolen en route the first time and they're waiting to receive payment from UPS before sending me another one. I've read elsewhere on the web that they are extremely slow. I'm warning anyone who has interest in this- don't expect to get one quickly.
