Often people describe the feelings you get from floggers on a scale from "thuddy" to "stingy." Some might feel a little scratchy (those made of suede, horsehair or woven grasses), others leave you feeling like you've had a good massage, (heavy elk or cowhide usually), and yet others just feel like fire (rubber). Clearly the way these floggers are wielded and the arousal state of the bottom both impact the way these toys feel ultimately—this is where the skill and creativity come in! Obviously, these things are negotiated ahead of time between play partners and it should go without saying that the ONLY WAY TO PLAY is with good and active consent! Talking over how you want to feel, whether or not you want marks, and to what degree of intensity you desire as the "bottom" is half the fun!
