1 hour on-site hardware guarantee
We cherry-pick our dedicated server components to ensure the highest possible standards for our customers. We use only the highest quality hardware (genuine HP) servers which all include a 1 hour on-site hardware guarantee, meaning that if any part of the server that doesn’t have a redundant backup was to fail (e.g. a processor or memory), we will have the spare part in stock and will replace it within 1 hour; guaranteed. All dedicated servers include 24/7 hardware management at no extra charge.
Hard disk Redundancy
Most internet downtime is related to hard disk failure. To minimise the risks, all of our servers are equipped with at least 2x SCSI/SAS drives in a RAID1 configuration. RAID1 means that all hard disks are written to simultaneously (they are a mirror of each other) allowing either one to continue serving content in the event of a disk failure. Another main feature of SCSI servers is that they are inherently faster. This is because all of the reading and writing to the hard disks is actually handled by the RAID controller rather than the server itself, thereby freeing up the processor(s) for other more appropriate tasks. This provides far better overall server performance and reliability.
Our enterprise HP & VMware cloud hosting platform takes reliability to a higher level by using at least 16 Fibre Channel Disks in a RAID5 configuration.
