The results of the ESL Scrolls Opening Cup

esl_heads

The Scrolls ESL Opening Tournament is over! The results are in, and the prizes are being allocated.

Also, we’re tweaking the prize pool slightly. Now, the top eight players get the exclusive ESL avatar heads (which you can see above), not just the top four. We were overwhelmed by the response to the tournament, and decided that getting to the quarter finals was a task worthy of reward.

Watch the ESL finals this weekend!

The final stages of the ESL Scrolls Opening Cup are just around the corner and, thanks to the awesomeness of our community, some of the matches are getting streamed over the internet. It’s kicking off on Saturday 28th of September at 8pm CEST. Click here to see when that is in your timezone.

That means (so long as the kind streamers don’t encounter technical issues),  you can watch some of the games as they happen, and discover who gets the prestigious first-place prize in real-time. Once our spectating tools are released, this kind of thing will be a lot simpler to do. They’re coming soon.

Thanks to all who entered, and massive congratulations to the finalists. Here’s the bracket as it stands.

And here are the planned streams so far. Nice one, guys!

See you on Saturday! Thanks for pointing this out, reddit.

Look what the winner of the ESL tourney gets…

Unfortunately for you, you don't win a Henrik. Just the painting. Soz!

As I mentioned a few days ago, the ESL Scrolls Opening Cup is taking place this weekend.

You can see the first-place prize being displayed above by the hirsute, handsome Henrik. He painted it with his own fair hands. Sign up for the tournament to be in with a chance of getting this on your wall, and click through to see a bigger pic. Cool eh?

Good luck people! Sign up!

How many players bought Decay last week?

 Screen Shot 2013-09-04 at 11.40.33

Last week was Decay week. Our fourth faction finally hit the servers! I thought I’d release some stats to celebrate.

Decay was released on Monday August 26th. During the day, 2305 Decay pre-constructed decks were bought with shards and 1590 with gold.

Throughout the week we sold 4334 Decay pre-constructed decks for shards, and 2305 for gold.

That means lots of you are playing with our new faction, which is excellent news. I’ll be posting more info about our future plans for Scrolls in the next few days, along with a post about the the music in-game. See you then!
