Cover woman of stature

To get on the cover of magazine one has to be the following. A model, actress, singer or someone who is famous for being famous.

So it is great when magazine puts someone such as France's Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira.

Christiane is force to be recong with who has fought for human rights and has law named after her. Taubira Law was the result of Christianne's fight for  marriage equality. 

Elle France did incredible thing by putting her on the cover of magazine. This great message their readers. Moroccan descendant Rachida Dati was France's first female Minister of Justice.

Next step in evolution

Carmen Carrera, the curvy transgender model was once contestant in RuPauls' Drag Race season 3.Since the show, the transgender model has been evolving both in body and career.
 Carmen has gone from being contestant on RuPaul's DragRace to appearing in W magazine's Show Girl editorial shot by Steven Meisel with Linda Evangelista
  to walking  the catwalk for Marco Marco show.  And now fans of the model are hoping  for her to make history on the catwalk of upcoming Victoria's Secret show. As there is a petition on change.org.
 If Victoria's Secrets picks Carmen for the their show she would become the first transgender model to walk for the lingerie giants.

Carmen isn't the only Transgender model around. 
In fact most famous of them is Caroline Tula Cossey.

Andrej Pejic
Bosnian/Serbian Andrej Pejic is one most  of the famous models and most famous transgender model around. Andrej's successful modeling career has taken her to the catwalks, cover of magazines.

And has fronted campaigns for the likes Jean Paul Gaultier, Silvian Heach, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Duras Ambien.

And was a video girl in David Bowie music video with fellow androgynous model Saskia de Brauw and legend Tilda Swinton. Andrej also controversially fronted an pushup bra for Dutch retail store company Hema

Brazilian Lea T is another hugely successful transgender model who has fronted campaigns for Givenchy. 
Lea is one of Riccardo's muses,Riccardo encouraged her to be a model. 
She is regular fixture on Givenchy shows.
Apart from Givenchy,Lea has also fronted campaigns for Philipp Plein with Terry Richardson, United Colors of Benetton.

INES RAU
