I will help You, @Al Martinez !
It's the same thing I had since March. But I went around the problem by going to the beta channel. And my chromebook is up to date. I didn't update my chromebook with a dev update just yet. I'm waiting for a stable update to come.
To go around the problem, try switching to the beta channel, and refresh the browser. Your machine will start to check for updates. Based on the speed of your internet connection, it might take a few minutes. Close your browser windows, or continue browsing the web while your device is being updated.
Confirm the status tray is displaying the message: "Restart To Update"
Click Restart T Update to update your Chromebook. And then confirm your device is updated to a new version. Log in to your device, and then set the channel to stable. Refresh the browser to confirm the highlight stays on a chosen channel.

Wow! Im really impressed by the performance im getting from this build.

Something about the last update had my CPU stuck at 50-40% used, constantly. Now the fan on my CR-48 hardly even runs!

Now if we could only address the issue of how I only have ~1.1 out of 2GB RAM, available at startup, with no apps, windows or extensions running Any ideas what might be causing the RAM hogging?
