Structural Investigations / Observations
Rocky Mountain Group – RMG Engineers can perform a site visit to provide extensive visual observations of the entire building. Because the structural components of a building all work together as a whole, Rocky Mountain Group – RMG Engineers will observe the entire structure, regardless of the size and location of the damaged area. Our observations and analysis will be presented in a written report with our conceptual recommendations on what items need to be remediated. If minor repairs are recommended, our report may be given to a contractor for pricing. If the repairs are extensive, design and drawings can be prepared. Construction repair drawings would be performed for an additional fee.

HUD (FHA) Certifications
A HUD Certification Inspection is generally requested when buying or refinancing a modular home. The inspection is usually requested by the buyer, seller, or a lending company. It is required by FHA that the foundation is “permanent” according to FHA/HUD guidelines. (Reference the Permanent Foundations Guide for Manufactured Housing from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, HUD-007487, dated September 1996).
Damage Investigations/Repairs
In cases of damage to structures from “Acts of God” (vehicle impact, fire, flood, falling trees), Rocky Mountain Group – RMG Engineers can work with the insurance companies to define a scope of damage, provide plans and details to implement repairs, and perform construction observations in order to verify that the structure has been restored to its previous structural integrity.
Flood/Drainage Observations
Flooding and water seepage is a concern with basement construction and the heavy rain thunderstorms common to Colorado. Rocky Mountain Group – RMG Engineers can perform an assessment of the cause of the water intrusion and make recommendations for mitigation. This can include surface slope improvements, drain collection systems or maintenance of existing systems.
