Government Product News picked up our fiscal year-end blog series this week, so we thought it was a good time for a quick wrap up. The series covers trends in year end procurement activity for specific agencies, and dives in to some important IDIQ opportunities. http://ow.ly/Sz8HD

Not every agency has a clear preference for the fiscal year end. Can you guess which ones ignore the federal buying season? http://ow.ly/QLmEl
In previous posts I’ve gone through all of the agencies that have a spike in procurement activity at the end of the fiscal year. I thought it was worthwhile to also highlight those that maintain a more consistent pace of procurement activity.

Which non-defense agencies do the majority of their procurements at year-end? http://ow.ly/QtWfU
We’ve already discussed one non-defense agency that does the vast majority of its procurements in the fourth quarter of the government fiscal year (July – September) – Department of State. In this post I want to do a quick review of the rest of the non-defense space.

There are some big IDIQ procurements going on during 2015 fiscal year end. Are you in the know? http://ow.ly/PWGzX
Federal contracting professionals know that indefinite delivery vehicles (IDVs) can be the most valuable contracts to hold. They provide more predictable long-term revenue under a simplified procurement process, and with limited competition. As I’ve been covering trends related to the fiscal year end and the federal buying season, I though it would be useful to highlight the high profile IDV procurements that are ramping up or closing before Sept...

Which Defense Agencies will have you writing proposals instead of laying on a beach this August? http://ow.ly/PHn8U
If you’ve been following this series, we’re learning that the U.S. government tends to do the majority of its procurements within the final quarter of the fiscal year – July through September. Department of State is among the non-defense agencies that do an even higher percentage of their procurements in Q4 than average. But what about the defense agencies?

We project that about 42,000 new federal opportunities will be published between now and September 30. Time to get to work.

IDIQs aren't just for broadly scoped management and IT services. Check out our run-down of interesting and niche multi-award IDIQ procurements currently underway. http://ow.ly/QzU9q

More on high profile BPAs and IDIQs seeing activity this fiscal year end. The series continues at http://bit.ly/1gghrJk
This is Part 2 of a blog post about high profile indefinite delivery vehicle (IDV) re-compete procurements that are ramping up or completing at fiscal year end. (You can find Part 1 here.) In this post, I highlight three more IDV procurements - STARS II, ESD II, and WPS 2. Let’s dive right in.

The Army-Navy Game: Federal buying season edition http://ow.ly/PRam5
In my last post I covered Air Force, which is the defense agency with the most pronounced Q4 preference. Here I want to look at the other big defense agencies – Army and Navy – to determine which one conducts more of its procurement activity during the final quarter of the year.
