Orthodoxie.com/en offers a subscription plan. Why is that? What are the subscription possibilities?

Orthodoxie.com was launched at the beginning of 2005 by Fathers Jivko Panev and Christophe Levalois. Over the years, our visitors could see the quality and seriousness of the news posted. They are now read and shared, sometimes translated, in many countries. They are also very much appreciated and reused beyond Orthodox circles, including by professional media. The number of visitors has considerably increased. As of December 2017, the daily average of “unique” visitors is about 1,300.

This success requires a significant daily investment, throughout the year, for the small team of volunteers. In order to continue this work and to improve it further, funds are more than ever necessary. Hence the possibility of subscribing to the site.

Our site will always offer free posts, but others, which require more time and work (including translations and videos), will only be available to subscribers.

  • A monthly subscription: 11,95 € with a 30 days trial period for only 1€
  • Quarterly subscription: 23,95€ / 3 months
  • Yearly subscription: 119,95€ / 1 year

The goal of Orthodoxie.com/en is to publish information in English about Orthodoxy around the world. We hope to make Orthodox life and Orthodox events better known, thanks to news summaries, commented links, various documents, and announcements.

The site is managed by Justin (Fr. Jivko) Panev, a senior lecturer at the St. Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute in Paris and the rector at Notre Dame Souveraine parish in Chaville (a Paris suburb), and by Fr. Christophe Levalois ( see his personal website), priest at Saint-Séraphin-de-Sarov parish in Paris. He is also a historian and a history and geography teacher, with a background in journalism (Bordeaux Aquitaine Institute of Journalism, class of 1982).
Both priests are part of the Archdiocese of Russian Orthodox Churches in Western Europe, exarchate of the ecumenical patriarchate. The other collaborators are from different canonical jurisdictions.
