Strong competition for the top 3 baffling buses, but I went with:
Route 558's figure 8 magical mystery tour
Route 600/922/923 which is so confusing it killed the PTV web site trying to display the map
Route 800's bafflingly poor weekend service, including no buses on Sundays🚌

Remember that the local councils of Melbourne seem to think that bike and scooter riders are a threat to public safety, whereas nobody seems to give a crap about these oversized kid killers (the bonnet of this Silverado is basically at my shoulders).

After a wonderful 8 years in Parliament I’d like to congratulate the successful candidates for Northern Metropolitan Region & indeed all successful candidates in the Victorian election.
Sadly I wont be joining them in the 60th Parliament but I do have some homework for them …

In the last two days, Musk has lobbed bad faith accusations of supporting or enabling pedophilia or child trafficking against four people who criticized him. This has resulted in these individuals experience mass harassment and even threats.
Here's a thread to break it down.

The light rail just got faster! Now if a train is approaching an intersection, it will get signal priority if there are no cars waiting for the light.

I saw a relative onto the 16:36 train to Seymour. Just two carriages. Standing room only, on a weekend when lots of carriages are sitting around doing nothing. Lift your game, V/Line.

Probably just as well the tram square is being removed. It’s clearly not in good nick.

Ever thought some rail lines just happen to feel a bit faster than others? You're right! Thought I'd crunch some numbers to see who fares better in terms of average speed for a terminus to CBD journey, and here are the results. Outer west tends to fare better than outer southeast

Enjoying a burger with my kids whilst overhearing staff explaining to a visitor how easy and frequent the bus service is & that it would be better than Uber… the 333 that we’ve progressively upgraded to the busiest bus route in Australia. That’s job satisfaction!

Never say never. But I do think Sydney to Newcastle and Sydney to Canberra are the logical first steps for high speed rail in Australia.

I've finally had confirmation from #MetroTrains that the advice given to & others regarding photography on the rail network was not correct.
They sent an earlier reply which confirmed what Max was told below, but I have now received a further email that this was wrong

My self-driving Tesla crosses four lanes of freeway traffic in an attempt to jackknife an oncoming subaru. In the final seconds of my life, I’m filling out a captcha to try and regain control of the vehicle, but I don’t know which squares in the grid are “woke”

The Public Transport Ombudsman's annual report has just been published. If a complaint to a public transport operator has not been satisfactorily resolved, you can contact the PTO for help.

Our Annual Report 2022 overviews the 1,423 public transport complaints Victorians brought to the Ombudsman in 2021-22 – up 10% on last year and broadly in line with people travelling again since pandemic restrictions eased.

Wow, horrified to see a driver (massive 4WD) drive past nearly every open door on a tram, to be stopped at the second door by a woman shouting at them to stop.
The driver then drove past the remaining open doors, to wait at the red traffic light.

This afternoon I had a routine PCR test which has returned a positive result for COVID-19.
I will be isolating and will continue to work from home.
I encourage anyone who is unwell to test and to take any extra precautions to keep their families and neighbours well.

🚉🎂🛤️Happy birthday to Upper Ferntree Gully station, opened on this day in 1889.
The nearby highway is six lanes wide, but the rail line is still mostly single track, contributing to delays and limiting services on the Belgrave line.
