“The Outlaw Ocean” podcast series, presented by CBC Podcasts and the Los Angeles Times, earned the Nontraditional Media and John Seigenthaler Courage in Journalism Award
The $25,000 award, offered by the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, is one of the largest journalism prizes in the nation.
The award, named in honor of renowned Hungarian American war photographer Robert Capa, was presented on April 28 in New York City by the Overseas Press Club of America at its 84th annual awards competition.
