A little downtime tomorrow

A heads-up, the feedland.org server will be down for hopefully a short period tomorrow morning, no more than an hour, to do an upgrade of the database. We've designed it carefully and tested it on another server, and it all seems to work.

Then there will be changes to the software, and there may be glitches in that process.

But when it all works, feedland.org should be quite a bit faster.

After testing the new stuff here, we'll then be doing the same process on feedland.com.

How to back up your subscription list

Also, now would be a good time to download your OPML subscription list.

1. Go to feedland.org, and choose My feedlist from the menu.
2. Click on the white on orange XML icon in the upper right corner of the page.
3. Save the OPML text you read there in a local file.

If there's a problem you'll be able to restore your account using that file.
