Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its first restaurant in 1993, became a subsidiary of McDonald's in 1998, and was spun off in a public offering in 2006. The company operates more than 3,400 restaurants. The restaurants offer quick service, but maintain traditional cooking methods and utilize high-quality ingredients. The company has a tightly focused menu, but store design and decor vary by location. The company has been expanding rapidly in recent years as interest in Southwestern food has spread throughout the U.S. With a market capitalization of $83.7 billion, the shares are generally regarded as large-cap growth.

BMW is a premium passenger car and motorcycle original equipment manufacturer, home to the brands BMW, Mini Cooper, Rolls-Royce, and BMW Motorrad. BMW sold 2.8 million vehicles in 2023 (2.6 million being passenger cars). In terms of sales volumes, Asia and Europe are BMW’s largest regions, contributing 39% and 38%, respectively. BMW’s core competence is in the "affordable" luxury channel, with limited exposure to high-end priced vehicles.

In 2023, 16% of its passenger cars sold were top end (G Class, Maybach, AMG, S Class), 54% were core (C and E Class), and 30% entry (A and B Class). In volume terms, Asia is Mercedes’ largest market at 40% of 2023 vehicle sales followed by Europe at 38% and North America at 17%.
