    Regency Centers Corp. is one of the largest U.S. owners, operators and developers of shopping centers. Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, the company, including joint ventures had 482 properties at the end of 2024 with about 50 million square feet of gross leasable space. Regency's portfolio focuses on open-air properties in urban and first-ring suburban areas with high trade and traffic. At year-end 2024, about 80% percent of Regency's shopping centers were anchored by major grocery store chains, such as Kroger and Publix, although other anchors include retailers TJ Maxx and Petco. At the end of last year, about 20% of ABR was from grocery tenants and 43% of ABR was from anchor tenants. As of 4Q24, the company's property count was broken down into key regions as follows: 19% in Florida; 23% in NY/CT/NJ; and 15% in California. The stock is included in the S&P 500 Index, and the market cap is $13.4 billion.

  • Market Update: BP, CTSH, REG, UPS, PINS

    Wall Street is broadly lower as economists adjust their rate expectations to fewer cuts and further into the year than initially expected. This is in reaction to a hot inflation print this morning. CPI came in at 3.0% at an annual rate for January, up from 2.9% in December. On a monthly basis, it accelerated by 0.5%, also above expectations. Core CPI ticked up to 3.3% in January compared to 3.2% in December. On a monthly basis, it edged up by 0.4%, also higher than expected. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note is at 4.67%. Oil is at $72 per barrel. Bitcoin is at $95,000.
