Calling all literary and STEM nonprofit organizations! Applications are now open for the STEM & Story Districts at the 2026 National Book Festival, taking place August 22 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Selected organizations will get to engage thousands of families through hands-on activities and live demonstrations while showcasing their mission. The National Book Festival is the Library of Congress’ premier public event, drawing more than 40,000 attendees annually to celebrate books, ideas and learning for all ages.
