Committee Marks Half Century of Protecting Human Rights

For 50 years, the Committee on Human Rights (CHR) has worked to safeguard the rights of scientists, engineers, and health professionals under threat around the world. Since its inception, CHR has taken action in support of more than 1,500 colleagues subjected to serious human rights violations, often because of their research and professional activities.
