More about Quayside
Quayside has been owned and successfully managed by the Fusco family since 1999 and remains family run to this day. Eldest son, Stuart Fusco, heads up Quayside and has enjoyed a very successful frying career to date, including winning the coveted ‘Fish and Chip Shop of the Year’ in 2014, as well as a whole host of national awards.
Quayside is located on Pier Road in one of Whitby’s most historic buildings; it dates back to 1820’s and was originally the town’s bath house, used by local fishermen after they had delivered their catch. It later became the town’s library and is said to be where Bram Stoker collected his research for the famous novel, Dracula.
Quayside restaurant is famous today for its award winning, sustainable fish and chips, as well as a selection of delicious fish straight from the griddle. The menu also offers gluten free fish and chips, a range of homemade salads and for dessert, the Fusco Brothers also make their own, homemade gelato, which features in a number of seaside favourites on the menu.
