What
Allow images to be pasted directly into the chat input from the clipboard
(e.g. Cmd+V), the same way Quick Desktop and similar apps let you paste a
screenshot straight in. Today an image has to be saved to a file first and
then uploaded through the file picker.
Why
The current save-to-file → upload flow is a poor experience. When you take a
screenshot or copy an image from another app, you want to paste it into the
conversation immediately. Having to first save it to disk and then browse for
it adds friction and breaks the flow, especially for quick screenshots.
Additional Context
- Requested from the KiroCrew dashboard chat UI.
- Ideal behavior: paste (Cmd/Ctrl+V) an image from the clipboard directly into
the chat composer, with the image attached inline — no intermediate file
save or manual upload step.
- Related to the existing file-upload / attachment mechanism in the dashboard
chat input.
