July 11, 2006 - Some loves must remain unrequited. Such is the case with Maximum Pool, a simple awful game that features two of the hottest women to ever talk smack during a game of billiards. There's Amy, the shy and inexperience girl and Linda, the British pool shark. Play one of the half-dozen games included in Max Pool and you can choose to go against the computer. Select from a couple of tools (Brad is such a chump!), a dog, or these two fine ladies.
If you're some sick, sad person, you can choose to play this game alone. Maybe you want a double team against Amy and Linda. Who will get to take you home, hmm? But a real stud would challenge a friend to a game of three-player Cutthroat. It's a test to see who can elicit the better responses from the hard-to-please Amy or the wanton Linda.
Some might mistakenly believe Maximum Pool is all about hitting balls into pockets. But this game is much more than that. This is a contest for the affections of two virtual reality girls. If you think of it in any other terms, you may cry. The game is that bad.
If you're a lady, there are a trio of men available for your flirtations. They're not great catches, but if you're playing a game of billiards in order to hit on virtual characters, you'll probably take what you can get. And if you're a real freak, you can play against a dog. He talks a lot of $#!@.
Maximum Pool is one of the best dating sims released for Dreamcast in the U.S. Yes, even better than PenPen TriIcelon.
