About Under Canvas Glamping
Our Story
Under Canvas began in 2012 with a camp in West Yellowstone, dedicated to connecting guests with the outdoors and each other through experiences in nature. It has since grown to include 13 safari-inspired Under Canvas locations and expanded its footprint in new and unique ways. In 2023 Under Canvas introduced ULUM, a bespoke resort brand that debuted its first location in Moab, Utah. In 2025, Under Canvas introduced its Outdoor Collection– distinctive properties that offer nature-based stays and experiences, curated with place and purpose in mind.
The leader in upscale, outdoor hospitality, Under Canvas camps have received awards from the likes of Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure as some of the best resorts in the U.S. and the world. ULUM Moab was awarded Two MICHELIN Keys in 2024.
Our safari-inspired tents include amenities such as ensuite bathrooms with hot showers, plush king-size beds, luxe linens, and wood-burning stoves for chilly nights. Expansive main lobby tents and adjoining patios adorned in West Elm furnishings inside and out provide a communal space to enjoy meals from our café-style kitchen, connect with friends and family, learn about the best local adventures, and purchase exclusive retail items.
Daily programming—ranging from yoga classes to acoustic live music to outdoor games—means the fun doesn’t end when the national park adventures do. Kids and adults alike delight over evening s’mores around the campfire as they gaze at the stars and share stories of the day’s activities. In the mornings, guests wake to the sounds of nature, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and get ready to explore America’s most iconic national parks, monuments, and outdoor destinations.
Recognized as the “perfect glamping experience” by Vogue, Under Canvas operates locations in West Yellowstone, North Yellowstone – Paradise Valley and Glacier in Montana; Moab, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Lake Powell – Grand Staircase in Utah; Mount Rushmore in South Dakota; Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee; Grand Canyon in Arizona; Yosemite in California; Columbia River Gorge in Washington; and Acadia in Maine. ULUM Resorts operates in Moab, Utah and the Outdoor Collection includes The Fields of Michigan in South Haven, MI, and Bar N Ranch in West Yellowstone, MT.
