Who we are.
We are the great grandsons of Ting-ali, Willie Dynevor, son of Mary & Harry Barney. Our names are Toby Adams and Daryl Docherty. We started this journey for our own healing to connect back with country, culture and language.
As we’ve gone on, we’ve been able to collect quite a bit of information on Kullilli people and language and have felt it is our obligation to share this with our Kullilli families.
So we began Kullilli Ngulkana.
We’ve been so grateful for the support we’ve been given, from our Kullilli people, other mobs, linguists and organisations who have helped us access information and create resources.
A special acknowledgement goes to Professor Claire Bowern of Yale University. Claire and her students have worked with us to create many resources, including our Kullilli Dictionary and the Memrise Language Program.
We hope that by sharing and connecting Kullilli people to our language people will be able to remember other words or stories and continue to share this so that we are all strong once again.
